Wellness Pilot Project Funded

Governor Sonny Perdue signed the Budget this past week which included an appropriation for $150,000 to fund a planning grant for a State Wide Wellness Pilot Project which will be administered by the Lowndes County Partnership for Health. The planning grant will include a partnership with the Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership in Dalton, GA. Senator Tim Golden and other key legislators including Senator Don Thomas of Dalton and Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle made this appropriation possible. We are excited about the coming year and what the future holds for this project. A research partner will be announced in coming weeks as well as full details about the project.
